1. The Income Tax GIRO promotion is only open to SaveUp account holders.
2. To enjoy the income tax rebate, eligible SaveUp account holders are required to apply for Income Tax GIRO promotion, submit an Income Tax GIRO form and furnish such documents as Maybank may require at a Maybank Branch during the promotion period.
3. The income tax rebate payable is based on the monthly income tax amount and the average daily balance of the SaveUp Account. SaveUp account holders with a minimum average daily balance equal to or more than 12 times the monthly income tax amount payable by the account holder as at the end of each month (subject to a minimum average daily balance of S$3,000) are entitled to a rebate of 2.28% of the monthly income tax amount. SaveUp account holders with a minimum average daily balance equal to or more than 24 times the monthly income tax amount payable by the account holder as at the end of each month (subject to a minimum average daily balance of S$3,000) are entitled to a rebate of 5% of the monthly income tax amount.
4. The income tax rebate will be credited to the applicable SaveUp account on the first day of the following calendar month from the first monthly income tax payment by GIRO from the SaveUp account.
5. Subject to clauses 2 and 3, account holders are entitled to an income tax rebate for a period of 12 months if they pay their income tax on a monthly basis through GIRO from their SaveUp acccounts.
6. Maybank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions or withdraw the said promotion without notice and without giving any reasons.

A minimum deposit and holding balance of S$10 is required to open and maintain a SaveUp Account. Should the average daily balance of the account fall below S$500, a monthly minimum balance fee of S$2 shall apply. Closure of account within 6 months of the account opening date is subject to an early account closure fee of S$30.
