Scheme |
| The
Deposit Insurance Scheme ("Scheme") was established
under the Deposit Insurance Act which came into force on 18
October 2005. |

| The Singapore Deposit Insurance
Corporation (SDIC), a separate entity incorporated as a company
limited by guarantee under the Companies Act, will administer
the Scheme and manage the deposit insurance fund. |

| Maybank is a member of the Scheme.
From 1 April 2006, the Scheme will guarantee individuals and
charities up to S$20,000 in aggregate of their Singapore Dollar
deposits in savings, current and time deposit accounts placed
with the Bank, net of liabilities. Please note that the following
deposits are not included under this Scheme: |
- Deposits held as collateral and investment-oriented
products such as structured deposits
- Deposits of businesses, including sole proprietorships
and partnerships

listed in the Insured Deposit Register below. |

Deposit Register |
| The following are deposit accounts
which are eligible for deposit insurance coverage under the
Deposit Insurance Act. Any Singapore dollar deposit in this
list held by or for an individual or a charity, will be insured
up to the limits specified in the Deposit Insurance Act. |
