  1. What is EPINS CashOut? Is this service free?

EPINS CashOut is a value-added service where you can withdraw cash while you pay for your purchases or make bill payments at selected EPINS participating merchants using a Maybank MasterCard Electronic ATM Card or a Maybank Credit Card that is linked to your Maybank Savings/Current Account. The service is free of charge for Maybank customers.

For a list of EPINS participating merchants that offer CashOut service, please visit www.epins.com.sg.

  2. How do I withdraw cash at the merchant outlet?

Simply inform the cashier that you want to withdraw cash and the amount to be withdrawn before the cashier proceeds with your purchases or bill payments. The cashier will key in the withdrawal amount into the terminal before handing it to you to enter your PIN. The total amount of both the purchase and withdrawal amount will be debited from your Maybank Savings/Current Account.

  5. What happens if I realised that I have received the incorrect amount of cash?

We strongly advise customers to check that the correct cash has been given to you and that the amount tallies with the amount stated on your receipt. The same check should also be done for your purchases so that any discrepancy can be settled on the spot.

  6. I did not request for any cash withdrawal. Why is there a deduction on my receipt?

Please inform the cashier about this issue immediately before you leave the merchant’s premises. If need be, get the store manager to investigate the case for you.

  7. What is the maximum amount I can withdraw in one transaction?

The maximum amount for cash withdrawal is S$300 per CashOut transaction per day. Different merchants may offer different CashOut amounts between S$10 and S$300 per CashOut transaction, in multiples of S$10.

There is also a withdrawal limit of S$300 per day for CashOut transactions made at all merchants.

The withdrawal amount forms part of the daily EFTPOS (EPINS & AXS) limit of S$3,000, and is separate from the daily cash withdrawal limit of S$3,000 at ATMs.

For example, if you withdraw S$300 via EPINS CashOut service during one transaction, you would have reached your withdrawal limit via this service for the day. Hence, you will still able to make purchases via EPINS or pay bills at AXS Stations of up to S$2,700.

  8. Can I select which Maybank account to withdraw cash from?

You can select between Savings and Current Account to debit the total amount transacted via EPINS. If you have more than one Savings Account, the default/primary Savings Account will be used for debiting. The same goes for Current Account.
