  1. What is the Credit Card Fee Waiver SMS service for?

    This service is to allow our Principal Cardmembers to request for fee waiver for their personal credit card accounts via SMS. The request is subject to approval and the outcome will be sent via SMS within 7 business days.

  2. What are the types of fees and charges that I can request for waiver through this SMS service?

    The types of fees and charges that you can request for waiver via this channel include:

    • Annual Fee / Quarterly Service Fee imposed in your latest personal credit card statement.
    • Late charge imposed in your latest personal credit card statement.
    • Finance charge imposed in your latest personal credit card statement.

  3. What is the format of the SMS and which number do I send it to?

    The SMS should be sent to 79898 in the following format:
     
    CCWVR<space><NRIC><space><Last 4 Digit of your Principal Credit Card Number><space><Mobile Number>

    E.g. CCWVR  S1234567A  8888  98765432

    The outcome of your request will be sent to you via an SMS within 7 business days.

  4. Can I request for fee waiver for my Supplementary Card using this SMS service?

    Yes. As the Principal Cardmember, you can request for fee waiver via SMS for your Supplementary Card. Simply indicate the last 4 digits of your Principal Credit Card Number in the format provided.

    The waiver request will be assessed based on the principal credit card account you have provided, together with the supplementary card accounts linked to it.

  5. What if I need to request for fee waiver for more than 1 credit card?

    You will need to send your fee waiver requests separately for each of the credit cards.  For example, if you wish to request for waiver of late charges for 2 of your cards, you will need to send 2 separate SMS i.e. one for each card.

  6. When do I have to send the SMS for request of fee waiver?

    You should send the SMS for your fee waiver request at least 3 business days before your statement due date.

  7. How will I know if my request has been received by the bank?

    Upon receipt of your SMS, an auto-reply will be sent to your mobile number for confirmation. The outcome of your fee waiver request will then be sent to you via SMS within 7 business days.

  8. Are there any charges for using this SMS service?

    No, this service is free

    However, you may wish to check with your mobile service provider for the charges applicable under your prevailing mobile plan and if there are any charges to be incurred for receiving the auto-reply SMS when you are overseas.

    No. This service is available only to the Principal Cardmembers requesting for fee waiver for their personal credit card accounts.

    No. This service is only applicable to personal credit card accounts.

  11. Do I need to pay up the fees and charges while waiting for the status of my waiver request?

    You are encouraged to make prompt payment inclusive of the fees and charges to avoid further late payment or finance charge(s). Successful fee waiver(s) will be credited to your card account, which can be used to offset your future transactions made.
