What is the Credit Card Fee Waiver phone service for?
This service is to allow our Principal Cardmembers to request for fee waiver for their personal credit card accounts via phone. The request is subject to approval and the outcome will be sent via SMS within 7 business days.
What are the types of fees and charges that I can request for waiver through this phone service?
The types of fees and charges that you can request for waiver via this channel include:
- Annual Fee / Quarterly Service Fee imposed in your latest personal credit card statement.
- Late charge imposed in your latest personal credit card statement.
- Finance charge imposed in your latest personal credit card statement.

How do I send my request to the Bank?
Simply call our 24-hour hotline number at 1800-MAYBANK (1800-629 2265) or (65) 6533 5229 (Overseas) and follow the automated instructions as illustrated below to request for Credit Card fee waiver.
Step 1: Select option 7, follow by option 1 for Credit Card waiver request. Step 2: Enter your 16-digit credit card number follow by the # key. Step 3a): Select option 1 to confirm the card number. Step 3b): Select option 2 to re-enter your credit card number. Step 4: Please enter your 8-digit Singapore registered mobile number follow by the # key. Step 5a): Select option 1 to confirm your mobile number. Step 5b): Select option 2 to re-enter your mobile number. Can I request for fee waiver for my Supplementary Card using this phone service?
Yes. As the Principal Cardmember, you can request for fee waiver via phone service for your Supplementary Card. Simply provide the 16 digits of your Principal Credit Card Number.
The waiver request will be assessed based on the principal credit card account you have provided, together with the supplementary card accounts linked to it.
What if I need to request for fee waiver for more than 1 credit card?
You will need to send your fee waiver requests separately for each of the credit cards. For example, if you wish to request for waiver of late charges for 2 of your cards, you will need to send 2 separate requests i.e. one for each card.
When do I have to send the request of fee waiver?
You should send your fee waiver request at least 3 business days before your statement due date.
Can the fee waiver request be made by the Supplementary Cardmember or a third party?
No. This service is available only to the Principal Cardmembers requesting for fee waiver for their personal credit card accounts.
Is this phone service for fee waiver applicable to business credit cards?
No. This service is only applicable to personal credit card accounts.
Do I need to pay up the fees and charges while waiting for the status of my waiver request?
You are encouraged to make prompt payment inclusive of the fees and charges to avoid further late payment or finance charge(s). Successful fee waiver(s) will be credited to your card account, which can be used to offset your future transactions made.
