  1. What is the CreditAble Fee Waiver SMS service for?

    This service is to allow our CreditAble Account Holders to request for fee waiver via SMS. The request is subject to approval and the outcome will be sent via SMS within 7 business days.

  2. What are the types of fees and charges that I can request for waiver through this SMS service?

    The types of fees and charges that you can request for waiver via this channel include:

    • Annual Fee imposed in your latest CreditAble Account statement.
    • Late charge imposed in your latest CreditAble Account statement.

  3. What is the format of the SMS and which number do I send it to?

    The SMS should be sent to 79898 in the following format:
     
    CCWVR<space><NRIC><space><Last 4 Digit of your CreditAble Account Number><space><Mobile Number>

    E.g. CCWVR  S1234567A  8888  98765432

    The outcome of your request will be sent to you via an SMS within 7 business days

  4. When do I have to send the SMS for request of fee waiver?

    You should send the SMS for your fee waiver request at least 3 business days before your statement due date.

  5. How will I know if my request has been received by the bank?

    Upon receipt of your SMS, an auto-reply will be sent to your mobile number for confirmation. The outcome of your fee waiver request will then be sent to you via an SMS within 7 business days.

  6. Are there any charges for using this SMS service?

    No, this service is free

    However, you may wish to check with your mobile service provider for the charges applicable under your prevailing mobile plan and if there are any charges to be incurred for receiving the auto-reply SMS when you are overseas.

  7. Can the fee waiver request be made by a third party?

    No. This service is available only to CreditAble Account Holders requesting for fee waiver for their own accounts.

  8. Do I need to pay up the fees and charges while waiting for the status of my waiver request?

    You are encouraged to make prompt payment inclusive of the fees and charges to avoid further late payment or finance charge(s). Successful fee waiver(s) will be credited to your account, which can then be withdrawn, subject to your available balance.
