Maybank Enhanced ATM Security Measures

As part of our continual efforts to ensure maximum security for your ATM withdrawals, Maybank has implemented the following enhanced security measures in June 2012:

1. Activating or deactivating overseas ATM withdrawal

To minimise the risk of unauthorised ATM withdrawals, we have deactivated overseas ATM withdrawal facility on your ATM/Debit/Credit card (linked to a Current/Savings Account) if you have not performed any overseas ATM withdrawal transaction for the past 12 months or more from 31 May 2012 onwards. This change has taken effect on 1 June 2012.

New ATM/Debit/Credit card (linked to a Current/Savings Account) issued from 17 February 2012 onwards will have the overseas ATM withdrawal function deactivated by default, unless you have requested otherwise. If you do not belong to any of the mentioned groups, you will still be able to use your card to perform overseas ATM withdrawals.

2. ATM Cash Withdrawal Notification

From 21 June 2012 onwards, you will receive notifications when you have successfully performed ATM withdrawals both locally and overseas above the default cumulative threshold amount (S$500 or equivalent) or any amount set by you on your ATM/Debit/Credit card (linked to a Current/Savings Account). You can choose to change this threshold amount and/or opt out from this value-added service either by visiting any of our 22 Maybank Branches in Singapore, login to our Maybank2u.com.sg (Online Banking) or complete the eServices form and mail it back to us.

To ensure that you receive timely notifications, please update us with your latest mobile number via any of our Maybank ATMs or simply by completing this eServices form and mail it back to us.

Please note that the mobile no. provided will be used for all your banking services, and the updating of all your existing records. Only SG-registered mobile no. will receive SMS, alerts & notifications on all banking services.
