Banking in the Digital Fast Lane

Living a fast-paced life calls for quick and fast banking solutions, such as peer-to-peer funds transfer. Since Singapore's banking industry started to adopt FAST (Fast And Secure Transfers) in 2014, real-time payments via bank mobile apps have been revolutionised and retail banking has never been more efficient than this. In this issue, we introduce more fast and secured banking services to you.

Sign Up for PayNow

Since its launch last July, over a million people in Singapore have linked their mobile number or Singapore NRIC number to their bank account to tap this peer-to-peer funds transfer service. Soon, you can expect to receive funds from government services via PayNow, so it is vital that you spend a few minutes to register through Maybank Online/Mobile Banking, SMS or form.

Going one step further, Maybank is enhancing the payment experience and streamlining the payment process with the launch of PayNow QR on Maybank Mobile Banking app in August 2018. Through the Bank's app, customers can make funds transfers instantaneously by scanning another individual's QR code generated on his/her mobile banking app. This is also applicable to scanning a retailer's Singapore Quick Response (SG QR) for instant e-payment.

Beyond catering to retail customers, PayNow Corporate service will be launched from 13 August this year. Business owners can link their company's Unique Entity Number to their bank account. Maybank is one of the seven participating banks that supports PayNow Corporate. Payers do not need to know the businesses' bank and account numbers. In addition, Maybank Singapore, Maybank Kim Eng and Etiqa are users of PayNow Corporate, hence customers are able to pay their Maybank loans, credit card bills, insurance premiums and top up investment accounts using the service.

Gain Quick Access to Banking Information

What's more, Maybank Mobile Banking app has three Quick Services features that simplify your banking process.
Instead having to key in your username and password, you just need to enable fingerprint authentication, Quick Touch, in order to gain direct access to various functions such as balance enquiry, bill payment and funds transfer.

Maybank Singapore's first-of-a-kind function, Quick Balance, enables you to view your available balance for up to three accounts and the latest three transactions on your preferred Savings and Current accounts without the need to log in to the Mobile Banking app.

Quick Transfer allows customers to create payee shortcuts to be placed right on the home screen of their Maybank Mobile Banking app for quick access. Payee shortcuts can only be created for payee accounts maintained with a FAST participating bank. This service aims to reduce the number of steps needed to complete a funds transfer.
To experience the joy of banking at the speed of light, register to join PayNow and try out the Quick Services. Be sure to update your Maybank Mobile Banking app to access PayNow QR which is available on both Apple iOS and Android smartphones.
