Community Service Focus |
Maybank supports worthy causes,
in particular, projects that will help to promote social enterprises
for the under privileged in Singapore. We also support projects
that will benefit the disadvantaged children, youth and elderly
in the areas of education and health.
In deciding on a sponsorship, Maybank looks at the value that
the project will be able to generate for its beneficiaries
and society at large.
In addition, the project should also meet the following criteria:

- Support the Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility objective
and focus areas
- Have clear and realistic objectives
- Provide sustained benefits
- Provide employment opportunities for the disadvantaged
- Assist those in communities who are most in need
- Does not have political, racial or religious inclinations
- Are not requests from individuals, commercial or for-profit
organisations
- Priority will also be given to projects that allow staff
participation and provide mutual publicity opportunities
For the financial year 2004/2005, Maybank in Singapore
adopted the Kidney Dialysis Foundation and is committed
to supporting its fund-raising projects as well as recruiting
volunteers from its staff population for its events and
projects.
