The Difference Maybank has Made
In recognition of our efforts, Maybank has received outstanding awards over the years and the PRISM (Public Relations in the Service of Mankind) Award being one of many. For our contribution to the Arts, Maybank was conferred the Arts Supporter Award in 2001 and 2002 and the Friend of the Arts Award in 2003 by the National Arts Council (NAC).

More than just going for the accolades, Maybank remains focused on making a positive difference in our community.


March 2007 Maybank ties up with the Singapore Management University to offer a Maybank Best Business Student Award of S$2,000 each to top SMU students for the next 5 years.
December 2006 Maybank volunteers accompanied children from various homes on weekly joyrides to view the Christmas light-up along Orchard Road and Marina Bay. This is followed by singing of Christmas carols and distribution of gifts at Maybank Tower. A total of 80 volunteers together with Maybank Singapore’s Country Head and senior management participated and helped to spread festive cheer to these children. This event is a joint initiative of Maybank and the Heartware Network.
24 June 2006 Maybank sponsored the Singapore After-Care Association (SACA) Children's Holiday Programme where families of ex-offenders & inmates were treated to an afternoon at Snow City. The families were also given goodie bags, generously co-sponsored by Food Empire, The Cocoa Trees, and Viz Branz. 21 Maybank staff volunteers were also present to befriend the families.
6 May 2006 Maybank sent 2 representatives to participate in the Special Olympics Unified Charity Bowl and also donated S$500 towards Special Olympics' fundraising efforts.
24 January 2006 Maybank staff donated their old newspapers, clothing, household items and electrical equipment to SembVISY Recycling for recycling. Proceeds were donated to Kidney Dialysis Foundation for the care of needy kidney patients.
8 December 2005 Maybank organised its first blood donation drive at Maybank Tower. A total of Maybank 37 Maybankers donated blood, with close to half of them being first time donors.
August 2005 Maybank raised over S$15,000 for the Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF) through donation appeals sent to Maybank Cardmembers.
10 July 2005 Needy kidney patients were not forgotten by Maybankers at the Maybank Family Day held at Sentosa. Face-painting, balloon-sculpting, sale of KDF souvenirs and song dedications were part of the activities organised to raise funds for KDF.
1 June 2005 40 Maybank staff sacrificed their lunch breaks to assist in the KDF Flag Day to raise funds to subsidise the dialysis needs of needy kidney patients. Maybankers collected a total of S$10,000 for the KDF Flag Day.
February 2005 Maybank sponsored the KDF-Maybank School Hong Bao Project to encourage primary school children to spare a thought for needy kidney patients by donating some of their Lunar New Year Hong Bao money to support the dialysis treatments of those in need.
January 2005 Maybank staff and customers donated over S$25,000 to the Singapore Red Cross Tidal Waves Asia Fund for the victims of the 2004 Asian Tsunami.
23 December 2004 Maybank's second food donation exercise for the year was again met with overwhelming response from staff. Over 300 senior citizens and more than 150 children and families from the Yong-En Care Centre benefited from the food donation exercise.
22 November 2003 Maybank partnered Central Singapore Community Development Council and Yio Chu Kang Zone 4 Resident’s Committee to organise "Central Singapore Pay It Forward 2003" to encourage kindness as part of building Singapore into a more gracious society.
11 September 2003 Maybank was conferred the Friend of the Arts Award by the NAC in recognition of our valuable contributions towards the promotion and organisation of arts activities in Singapore.
September 2003 Maybank's staff raised S$40,000 through pledge cards as part of the banking industry's fund raising efforts for The President's Challenge 2003.
12 October 2002 Maybank was proud to have played a part in The Esplanade's opening festivities by sponsoring the Legs on The Wall segment of the Harbour Spectacular. Witnessed by thousands in Singapore, this unique and dynamic aerial acrobatics was performed on the facade of Maybank Tower, the first for any building here.
2 August 2002 Maybank was conferred the Arts Supporter Award by the NAC
23 July 2002 Maybank and the Singapore Tourism Board showcased the pioneering spirit of the "People of the River" with the launch of "The River Merchants" sculpture.
31 August 2001 Maybank was conferred the Arts Supporter Award by NAC in recognition of our contributions to developing the artistic talent of people with disabilities.
26 June 2001 Maybank introduced Singapore's first ever National Library Board remote bookdrop service at its Capital Tower Branch in Robinson Road.
June 2001 Maybank showcased "Duo Sensitivity" at its Art Gallery in Kuala Lumpur.
May 2001 Maybank and VSA showcased the works of 12 artists with disabilities in the Pair-With-An-Artist Art Exhibition entitled "Duo Sensitivity" at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Selegie Gallery.
April 1999 Maybank launched the Pair-With-An-Artist tutorship programme for artists with disabilities.
July 1997 Maybank supported an inaugural fashion show that showcased the fabrics handwoven by the students using the Sori looms.
April 1997 Maybank donated 18 Saori handweaving looms to 11 Special Schools and sponsored a trainer to conduct workshops for the students.
February 1997 Maybank sponsored an award-winning dance instructor from Beijing to teach Rehabilitative Art of Dancing in Singapore.
August 1995 Maybank organised a Cyclothon/Jogothon/Walkathon, which raised S$73,000 for VSA.
June 1995 Maybank organised Singapore's first-ever Festive Cards Design Competition for people with disabilities.
1995 Maybank was awarded the PRISM Award in recognition for our outstanding achievement in community service for the benefit of the local community.
1994 to 2000 Maybank organised and sponsored the Annual Children's Arts Camps to allow children with disabilities to integrate with children without disabilities.
