Local Bill Payment - FAQ
1) What is Electronic Bill Payment service?
  This is a service for you to pay your bills, from service and conservancy charges, telephone subscriptions, groceries to making donations. You can pay your bills via these e-Channels:
 
2) What are the types of bills I can pay and who can I pay to?
  Here is the list of payee organisations you can make payment to.
   
3) How can I start using the Electronic Bill Payment service?
  You need to have a Savings or Current Account with Maybank and sign up for our Dial-Link (PhoneBanking), Maybank2u.com.sg or Mobile Banking services. You may also apply for an ATM Card to make payments via our ATMs and Cash Deposit Machines.
   
4) Are the payments immediate?
  Please allow up to 2 working days for your payments to be credited to the respective payee organisations. So, please remember to pay your bills at least 2 days before the due dates.
   
5) What is "Bill Account No." ?
 

When you make payments through our Electronic Bill Payment service, you need to enter the account number or reference number pertaining to your bill. This is usually printed on your payment or invoice slip.

For example, when making payments to your Town Council, you need to key in the 11 digits TC reference number in the Bill Account No. field. Check out our detailed listing of the Bill Account No. format for the respective payee organisations.

If you're still unsure, don't hesitate to contact us at 1800-MAYBANK (1800-629 2265) to confirm the Bill Account No.

   
6) What is the maximum amount for bill payments per day?
  The maximum amount is S$3,000 per day per customer.
   
7) Is the Electronic Bill Payment service free?
  This is one of the many convenient services we are providing to our valued customers, free of charge
   
8) What are the available channels to pay my bills?
  You can pay from the comfort of your own home through our Dial-Link (PhoneBanking), Maybank2u.com.sg or Mobile Banking services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Alternatively, you can visit any of our 22 Branches in Singapore to pay through the ATMs and Cash Deposit Machines.
   
9) Do I have control over the payment of my bills?
  Yes. Unlike Interbank GIRO, our Electronic Bill Payment service allows you to decide how much and when to pay your bills so you are not restricted to paying a fixed amount every month. What's more, you can schedule your payments up to 30 days in advance
   
10) Can I use the Electronic Bill Payment service with a Maybank Credit Card?
  No. You need to have either a Savings or Current Account in order to use the Electronic Bill Payment service.
   
11) How can I pay to a company that is not listed on your list of payee organisations?
  We are constantly inviting various organisations to be listed as participants. Do call us at 1800-MAYBANK (1800-629 2265) if you would like a particular organisation to be listed and we'll work towards signing them up.
