What are the Maybank iCheque Services? |

The Maybank iCheque Services offer you the choice of applying for the purchase of the following iCheques via Maybank2u.com.sg (Online Banking): |

- iCheque, in Singapore Dollars only, issued in the form of a Cashier’s Order or Banker’s Cheque, payable locally.
- iCheque (Foreign Currency), issued in the form of a Demand Draft available in the following 8 currencies. Note: This is also available in Singapore Dollars subject to charges applicable for iCheque (Foreign Currency).
- AUD – Australian Dollar
- EUR – Euro
- GBP – Great Britain Pound
- HKD – Hong Kong Dollar
- JPY – Japanese Yen
- NZD – New Zealand Dollar
- SGD – Singapore Dollar
- USD – United States Dollar

Who can apply for Maybank iCheque Services? |
| |
Any retail customer of Maybank, with his/her own Online Banking Access and transactional account or Maybank ePocket, can apply for the iCheque Services. |

| 3. |
Is there a limit on the number or amount of iCheques and/or iCheques (Foreign Currency) that I can issue via the Maybank iCheque Services? |
| |
You can apply for any number of iCheques and/or iCheques (Foreign Currency) via the Maybank iCheque Services.
However, please note the following limits imposed on the aggregate amount, excluding charges, of the total number of iCheques and/or iCheques (Foreign Currency) for which you can apply:

- For iCheques in Singapore dollars for local payments, it is subject to a maximum amount of S$10,000 per day.
- For iCheques (Foreign Currency), it is subject to a maximum amount of S$20,000 or the equivalent in foreign currency, per day.

Can I pay my bills using the Maybank iCheque Services? |
| |
Yes, the iCheques can be made payable to any organisation that accepts cheques for payment of its bills (for example, telephone bills, credit cards etc.). |

How will the recipient know what the iCheque is for? |
| |
The remarks entered when you apply for the iCheque will be reflected in the Cover Letter of the iCheque. For example, you may wish to state your Consumer Reference Number such as the Credit Card Number or Bill Reference Number that the Billing Organisation can identify as the account for your payment.

What is the expected turnaround time for my iCheque application? |
| |
Please allow 2 business days for the iCheque application to be processed. This does not take into account the time taken in the delivery of the iCheque. |

Can I request for the iCheque or iCheque (Foreign Currency) to be delivered to any address? |
| |
Your iCheque payable locally can be sent to any address in Singapore. It will be sent by ordinary mail.
Your Demand Draft applied under the iCheque (Foreign Currency) service can be sent to any address, local or foreign, and will be sent via registered mail. |

Can I amend the details in my iCheque or iCheque (Foreign Currency) application after it has been submitted? |
| |
No amendments are allowed after you have submitted your iCheque application. |
| |

| 10. |
What if I do not know the Beneficiary's I/C number or if I am paying to an organisation/company? |
| |
You can simply enter “Not Applicable or NA” in the Beneficiary’s I/C field. |

| 11. |
What is the validity period of the iCheque? |
| |
Both the iCheque (in Singapore dollars for local payments) and iCheque (Foreign Currency) are valid for a period of 6 months from the date of issue stated on the iCheque. |

| 12. |
What happens after the iCheque expires? |
| |
If the iCheque has expired and not been presented for payment, you can visit any of the Maybank Branches and request for it to be cancelled. You need to present the original copy of the iCheque for cancellation. Thereafter, we will credit the funds back to the debiting account given to the Bank upon application. Please note that fees & charges apply. |

When will the iCheque amount be debited from my account? |
| |
We will not debit your account for the amount of the iCheque and the service charge immediately upon application, but only upon processing of your application.
Therefore, do ensure that sufficient funds are available in the debiting account for the processing of the iCheque application. |

| 14. |
What happens if I do not have sufficient funds in my debiting account? |
| |
If there are insufficient funds in your debiting account, your iCheque application will be rejected and you will be notified accordingly in writing. The letter will be sent to your registered address. The service charge will not be levied.
You may therefore want to ensure that your debiting account has sufficient funds before proceeding with the iCheque application. |

| 15. |
What happens if the mail delivered to the Beneficiary is returned to the Bank e.g. due to invalid address or no such recipient? |
| |
Upon receipt of the returned mail, the Bank will mail the iCheque to your registered address. There will be no additional charge for the postage.
You may then wish to make alternative arrangements for the delivery of the iCheque to the Beneficiary or cancel the iCheque. Please note that cancellation charges will apply in such an instance. |

| 16. |
Will I be able to cancel the iCheque? |
| |
Yes, you can cancel the iCheque at any time provided that it has not been presented and paid.
- Where the iCheque is presented:
Visit any of our Maybank Branches to request for cancellation of the iCheque. Once the cancellation request is approved, the funds, less the cancellation fee, will be credited back to your debiting account.

- If the iCheque is Lost, Stolen or Destroyed:
Visit any of our Maybank Branches to request for cancellation. You will also be required to fill up a Letter of Authorisation and Indemnity.
